About events in Burlington

Edited by Abdullah · Waterloo resident since 2007 · About

Burlington's event feed comes from two sources: the City of Burlington's official calendar and Tourism Burlington's WordPress site (iCal-exported). Together they cover the Sound of Music Festival in June, Ribfest at Spencer Smith Park in September, Downtown Burlington's Sunday markets, and library programming across five branches. Spencer Smith Park along Lake Ontario is the centre of most large public events; Burlington Performing Arts Centre carries the theatre and concert schedule. Because Burlington sits between Hamilton and Oakville, a lot of visitors combine trips — we tag events at the Royal Botanical Gardens (technically in Burlington but spanning the border) so they surface for both.

How this list is built

NearbyToday pulls events directly from 60+ official public sources — municipal event calendars, tourism board feeds, public library event systems, university public-events feeds, Ontario Parks, and Ticketmaster for concerts and sports. Each source is fetched at its origin, de-duplicated, and cached with a stale-on-failure fallback. Read the full methodology on the About page →
