Discover the best events, restaurants, and things to do in Toronto. Updated daily.
Toronto is the largest event market in Canada, and the challenge isn't finding things to do — it's separating signal from noise. We pull directly from the City of Toronto's Festivals & Events open data feed (the same one that powers toronto.ca), Sankofa Square's free public programming at Yonge-Dundas, the Toronto Public Library event system, plus curated tourism sources. Ticketmaster's Toronto inventory is merged in for concerts, sports, and theatre. What we don't do: dump every private paid class or vendor pop-up. This page focuses on events that are genuinely open to the public — festivals along the waterfront, gallery openings in Queen West and Ossington, night markets in Kensington and North York, park events across the TRCA system, and free programming at Sankofa Square. Because Toronto is geographically enormous, we recommend enabling location so distance-sort surfaces events closest to your neighbourhood first.
NearbyToday pulls events directly from 60+ official public sources — municipal event calendars, tourism board feeds, public library event systems, university public-events feeds, Ontario Parks, and Ticketmaster for concerts and sports. Each source is fetched at its origin, de-duplicated, and cached with a stale-on-failure fallback. Read the full methodology on the About page →
